Here is my response to a question that came into Bajan Eagle about a verse.  from a friend

Q.
This' a question someone asked during our fellowship services.

Mathews 15:26 - He replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs".

√ Children food! 

√ Dogs!

When the bible talks of children foods 

and 

When the Bible talks of Dogs. 

How do you understand this verse?

What was Yeshua saying?

The children’s bread is the word of God and if you are in it (following it), with it comes God’s benefits. The children are God’s people. Who are they? They are the people that number the tribe that was lost (Israel). Israel was divorced by God (not Judah).

Who were the dogs? Yeshua was sent to the lost children (sheep) of Israel. The dogs were the people who were not part of Israel (gentiles/other nations).

Yeshua was sent for the lost tribe. He said.

Matt 15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Yeshua acknowledged the “dog” and gave her what she wanted. Why was she recognized? Her faith. Faith gets God’s attention; faith brings you into a relationship with the Most High. Faith is what allows the Children and the dog (graffed - Rom 11: 17-25) into God’s Kingdom. 

She got some bread (crumbs) from the table because of her faith.

Matt 15:28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

Repent and Be Baptized - tw-014

Now that I have shared the Gospel of the Kingdom message with you, what next? The next thing that comes with accepting the Kingdom is to express your love to the King by doing what He says (obedience) -  If you love Him, keep His Commandments.  If you love Him you should first repent of ALL your sins. Second, you are commanded to be  Baptized. Matt 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Are you ready to be Baptized; to be submerged in water, and have it done in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost?  If you want to be Baptized as commanded in the word of God? How do we get into God's Salvation/Kingdom?

Q. Before we can give ourselves to Christ, what must we do first?  A. The first thing we must do before we follow Christ is to do as outlined by the Book (not religion). FIRST, SEEK THE KINGDOM AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS. Matt 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. If you were going to another country to live, what would you do first? Jump on a plane and go and set up shop? No, the first thing you would do is gain some knowledge about the country and its leadership. You would then look at the laws to see if they work for you. Are the laws/ righteousness fair? This is called seeking (finding out about the new country/kingdom). Now, if you decide you want to live in this country/Kingdom, you follow what the leader says. And the leader says.
